Northbrook Woman Crushed In Glenview Crash
The 43-year-old was fatally stuck while standing behind a stopped car on Sanders Road.

GLENVIEW, IL — A woman was killed after being crushed between two cars in Glenview Friday afternoon. Tasha Franklin, 43, was standing behind a vehicle stopped Sanders Road around 4:15 p.m. when she was hit by a vehicle heading north, police said.
Franklin, of the 3800 block of Greenwood Avenue in Northbrook, was taken by emergency personnel to Lutheran General Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 6:51 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.
The incident took place in the 3600 block of Sanders Road, just north of the intersection with Milwaukee Avenue. Police have not specified if Franklin was the driver of the car that was struck or how many passengers were involved.

An image of the scene posted by WGN-TV shows two SUVs on the right side of Sanders Road. It appears an airbag has deployed in the back car, a white four-door that seems to have struck the other vehicle in its rear left corner.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation and, as of Saturday, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
