Glenview Police Blotter: June 13 - June 20

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department as a record of police activity and includes both incidents reported by the public and arrests made by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indicator of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

ARREST

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Louis Schriber, 43, of the 1100 block of Central Road, was arrested at 10:37 p.m. on June 12 and charged with domestic battery at his home. He was accused of choking, pushing to the ground, putting his foot on top of, pushing up against a brick wall and biting a person on the back. He was arrested again the following day at 12:52 p.m. at his home and charged with resisting arrest and violation of the terms of his bond, which required him not to return within 72 hours. He was assigned a court date on July 10 in Skokie.

Louis Kritikos, 47, of the 4800 block of West Roscoe Terrace in Chicago, was charged with assault and disorderly conduct on June 13 at 4:35 p.m. after an investigation in the 500 block of Milwaukee Avenue, he was assigned a July 20 court date.

WARRANT

Virginia Zamacona, 26, of the 2300 block of Allied Drive in Madison, Wisconsin, was arrested at 5:25 a.m. on June 14 in the 2500 block of East Lake Avenue on a Glenview bond forfeiture warrant related to a previous driving with a suspended license case.

RETAIL THEFT

Brian Tite, 54, of the 1700 block of Robin Lane in Glenview, was charged with retail theft in the 100 block of Waukegan Road shortly after 2 p.m. on June 14. He was assigned a July 26 court date.

IDENTITY THEFT

Adeola Adeosun, 24, of the 6900 block of South Cregier Avenue in Chicago, was charged with possession of a fictitious or altered credit card on June 14 at 3:28 p.m. in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

AGGRAVATED DUI

Diego Jaramillo, 36, of the 2400 block of 17th Avenue in Broadview, was arrested at 5:51 p.m. on June 16 and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol (because he did not have a valid license at the time), driving with a blood alcohol content of 08 or more, as well as driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver’s license, disobeying a traffic control device, and illegal transportation of alcohol in the 1700 block of Glenview Road.

DUI

Yacir Herrera, 22, of the 2400 block of 9th Parkway in Waukegan, was arrested at 3:39 a.m. on June 18 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage in the 1500 block of East Lake Avenue. He was assigned a July 20 court date.

RETAIL THEFT

Alexander Pera, 30, of the 1400 block of Lehigh Avenue, was arrested at 4:40 p.m. on June 18 in the 100 block of Waukegan Road and charged with retail theft. He was assigned a July 26 court date.

WARRANT ARREST

Brian Pavlis, 19, of the 100 block of Prairie Avenue in Park Ridge, was arrested at 3:43 a.m. on June 18 in the 1000 block of Zenith Drive on a Will County traffic warrant. He was processed and released on bond.

DUI

William George, 44, of the 2400 block of Fontana Drive, was arrested the 2400 block of Fontana Drive at 7:19 p.m. on June 18 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence over with a blood alcohol level above .08, aggravated driving under the influence and driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license.

WARRANT

Dorjgotov Altangerel, 30, of the 1400 block of West Rosemont Avenue in Chicago, was arrested in the 3300 block of Willow Road shortly after midnight on June 19 on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear in court.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Colleen Cecchini, 43, of the 9400 block of North Parkside Drive in Des Plaines, was arrested shortly before 1 a.m. on June 19 and charged with domestic battery after an investigation in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

INCIDENTS

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

An employee in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue reported customers came into the store and were trying to get behind the counter shortly after 8 p.m. on June 13.

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES

An employee in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a customer bought $400 worth of merchandise and presented checks for an account with insufficient funds at 2:27 p.m. on June 14.

THEFT

At 2:42 p.m. on June 14, an employee in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported a customer rented a car and has not returned the vehicle for a reported loss of $12,800.

THEFT

A resident in the 2300 block of Strawberry Lane reported someone stole $100 worth of firewood from the home's front lawn shortly before 8 a.m. on June 15.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident in the 1600 block of Patriot Drive reported someone falsely claiming to be from a telephone company called and said they arrived for service at 12:46 p.m. on June 15. The homeowner does not contract with that company, police were told.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of an electronics store in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported someone took $3,000 worth of merchandise from the store's shelves and left without paying at 2:44 p.m. on June 15.

THEFT

A passenger at the train station, 1116 Depot Street, reported shortly before 6 p.m. on June 15 that someone had taken wheels and a seat from the train passenger's bike for a reported loss of $250.

ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT

A resident in the 1600 block of Robin Lane reported receiving unwanted texts and emails at 5:39 p.m. on June 15.

DISPUTE

An employee in the 1400 block of Ravine Way reported a dispute with a customer who would not leave when asked shortly before 8 p.m. on June 15.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee in the 3700 block of Willow Road reported someone grabbed a $25 bottle of liquor off the shelf.

BURGLARY

A resident in the 1200 block of Longmeadow Drive reported shortly after 6 a.m. on June 16 that someone had entered two vehicles and removed $30 worth of property.

BURGLARY

A resident in the 1200 block of Longmeadow Drive reported shortly before 6:30 a.m. that someone had entered a vehicle parked on the driveway. There was no report of any damage or any items missing.

THEFT

A resident in the 1300 block of Woodlawn Avenue reported at 8:34 a.m. on June 16 that someone had taken a package from their front porch for a reported loss of $50.

IDENTITY THEFT

An employee in the 2500 block of Compass Road reported someone made three unauthorized purchases using their debit card at 8:36 a.m. on June 16, but there was no reported loss.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE

A resident in the 3000 block of Springdale Avenue reported shortly before 9 a.m. on June 16 that someone had entered a vehicle parked on the driveway without causing damage or taking anything.

IDENTITY THEFT

A resident in the 2600 block of Violet Street reported around 10 a.m. on June 16 that someone had applied for a credit card using their name and address, but there was no reported loss.

BATTERY

An employee in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported being pushed after a dispute on June 16 at 2:23 p.m.

BURGLARY

A resident in the 3600 block of Liberty Lane reported someone entered a vehicle parked on the driveway at 6:05 p.m. on June 16, but there was no reported loss.

THEFT

A patron at Flick Park, 3600 Glenview Rd., reported at 1 p.m. on June 17 that an unlocked bike had been stolen from the bike rack for a reported loss of $300.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee in the 1200 Milwaukee Avenue reported someone removed $149 worth of merchandise from the store without paying at 3:19 p.m. on June 17.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident of the 3700 block of Knollwood Lane reported someone entered their residence and removed $1,500 in cash and jewelry at 4:33 p.m. on June 17.

UNLAWFUL ACQUISITION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

An employee in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported someone picked up over $1,000 worth of drugs using a fraudulent prescription shortly after 9 a.m. on June 19.

DISTURBANCE

An employee in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a man was disturbing guests by knocking on their doors at 12:27 p.m. on June 19.

IDENTITY THEFT

A resident in the 1200 block of Pine Street reported at 9:48 p.m. on June 19 that someone had opened a cable account using their personal information and racked up $750 in bills.
