The death of a loved one will cause grief for most children. If this grief persists over the long-term, however, this may indicate the presence of other mental health issues. Parents and caregivers who witness a child struggling to overcome grief should seek support if the symptoms last longer than six months and/or the symptoms impact the ability of the child to function at home or in school.
If your child is having trouble navigating their grief, they might benefit from a therapeutic connection. Dr. Clatch, Nicole, Roger, and Laura are all here to help - let's connect.
