'Plumbers' Burglarize Home After Water Pipe Break: Blotter

  • Vijaysarthy Mathiyalagan, 38, of the 6300 block of Capulina Avenue, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, speeding, and was arrested at 1:14 a.m. Nov. 1, in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Dec. 14.
  • Michael Ullegue, 45, of the 700 block of Mosedale Street, Saint Charles, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 3:02 a.m. Oct. 29, following the investigation of a motorist assist in the 3700 block of Knollwood Lane. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Dec. 17.
  • Anna Nasilowski, 41, of the 600 block of Greendale Road, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 4 p.m. Oct. 25, in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road following an investigation of an incident in the 2000 block of Harrison Street. She was released on bond and assigned a court date of Nov. 12.
  • Bat Baasanbat, 23, of the 10400 block of Dearlove Road, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, disobeying a traffic control light, and was arrested at 3:58 a.m. Oct. 27, in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of Nov. 30.

The Glenview Park District reported at 9:20 a.m. Oct. 26, a person at the Kent Fuller Air Station Prairie, 2400 Compass Road, knowing they had been given prior trespass warning to all Park District facilities.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee of a business in the 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard called police at 3:24 p.m. Oct. 26, to report someone entered the store, pulled merchandise from the sales shelf and left the store without paying for them. Reported loss is $477.
  • An employee of a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported on Oct. 30 a delayed retail theft that happened at 5:45 p.m. Oct. 29. Two male suspects entered the store and concealed three items having a total value of $948.97.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident in the 2400 block of Saranac Lane reported at 7:56 p.m. Oct. 26, two males entered their home after they told him they were there to repair a water pipe break. After the males left, the homeowner discovered items were missing.

BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE

A resident called police at 7:12 p.m. Oct. 27, to report that at some time between 6:30 p.m. and 7:10 p.m., someone shattered the front passenger window on their vehicle and stole a bag from inside the car.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

  • A Des Plaines resident reported at 8:25 p.m. Oct. 27, someone shattered the front windshield on their vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot at 1200 Milwaukee Avenue.
  • A resident in the 1100 block of Longvalley Road reported that at some time between 8 a.m Oct. 30 and 8:15 a.m. Oct. 31 someone smashed the driver’s side window on their vehicle as it sat parked in the driveway.

INTOXICATED PERSON

An employee of a business in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 10:57 p.m. Oct. 28, to report an intoxicated person in the restaurant.

BATTERY

  • An employee of a business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported at 11:14 p.m. Oct. 28, an altercation between two customers. Staff separated the parties and one of them left the premise.
  • An employee of a business in the 2600 block of Lehigh Avenue called police at 8:08 p.m. Oct. 31, to report battered by a customer.

MINOR IN POSSESSION

Police responded at 3:58 a.m. Oct. 31, to a hotel in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue for an intoxicated person banging on random doors. An 18-year-old male was located and cited under village ordinance for minor in possession of alcohol.

ASSAULT

An employee of a business in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 11:23 a.m. Oct. 31, being threatened by a customer. After speaking with police, the customer left the property.
