PSR heating cables are ready-to-use self-regulating cables in pre-terminated lengths from 6 to 100 feet. Suitable for both light commercial and residential applications, PSR cables are a top-of-the line solution for protecting water pipes against freeze-up in cold climates, or for abating roof, gutter and downspout ice dams.

PSR is a parallel resistance, self-regulating cable provided in pre-terminated lengths with factory sealed connections. Manufactured with a water-resistant thermoplastic elastomer outer jacket, PSR cables are rated at 5 watts per foot at 10°C/50°F. 120 Vac models have an integral three-wire plug with a pilot light that confirms connection to a good power source. 240 Vac models have a three-wire pigtail. PSR cables are UL Listed to Canadian Safety Standards and CSA Certified.

Prevent Ice Damming
Using self-regulating technology, no thermostat is required: overlap the cable with no more overheating worries. Self-regulating heating cable varies its heat output in relation to the ambient temperature. As the surrounding temperature increases, the heat of the PSR™ cable decreases. When the temperature decreases, the cable heat increases along the length of the cable.
