Rash Of Burglaries To Unlocked Vehicles Reported: Blotter
Police are investigating a number of unlocked motor vehicle burglaries around town: Glenview Police Blotter.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Ignacio Martinez-Garcia, 37, of the 3600 block of Salem Walk, Northbrook, is accused of driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 1:23 a.m. Sept. 18, after a traffic crash investigation in the 4700 block of West Lake Avenue. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond and assigned a court date of Oct. 5.
SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

Anthony Palamara, 20, of the 0-100 block of Falkirk Road, Hawthorn Woods, is accused of driving on a suspended driver's license, speeding, and was arrested at 9:50 a.m. Sept. 15, in the 800 block of Waukegan Road. He was released on bond and was assigned a court date of Oct. 5.
VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND
Philip Yates, 36, of the 1300 block of Greenwillow Lane, Glenview, is accused of violation of a bail bond in Glenview, and was arrested at 2:08 p.m. Sept. 14. He was held for a bond hearing.
INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
An employee of a business in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 8:58 p.m. Sept. 15, a female customer left the store without paying for food items.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS
An employee of a business in the 2300 block of Ridge Drive called police at 6:37 a.m. Sept. 16, to report the theft of catalytic converters from six company vehicles, occurring sometime in the overnight hours between.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
- A resident in the 2100 block of Henley Street reported at 6:56 a.m. Sept. 17, that during the overnight hours someone entered their unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the glove box.
- A resident in the 300 block of Montgomery Lane called police at 9:22 a.m. Sept. 17, to report that between 5:30 p.m. the previous day and 7:25 a.m. someone entered their unlocked vehicle and stole cash.
- A resident in the 2000 block of Harrison Street reported that between 4 p.m. Sept. 16, and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 17, someone rummaged through their unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway.
- A resident in the 300 block of Spruce Street called police at 10:36 a.m. Sept. 17, to report that during overnight hours, someone rummaged through two unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway.
- A resident in the 800 block of Spruce Street reported that between 6:30 p.m. Sept. 16, and 11:50 a.m. Sept. 17, someone entered and rummaged through their unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway.
- A resident in the 200 block of Elm Street called police to report that at 3:44 a.m. Sept. 16, someone entered and rummaged through their unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway.
- A resident in the 2100 block of Colfax Avenue reported that between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m., Sept. 18, someone entered and rummaged through their unlocked vehicle as it was parked in his driveway.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
- A resident in the 2200 block of Henley Street reported at 8:08 a.m. Sept. 17, someone damaged the window to their vehicle while it was parked on the street.
- At 8:34 a.m. Sept. 17, it was discovered someone spray-painted the walls in the stairwells of a parking garage in the 2700 block of Aviator Lane and damaged a light, a door, and an electrical outlet.
STOLEN VEHICLE
A resident in the 2700 block of Park Lane reported at 9:26 a.m. Sept. 17, that during the overnight hours someone stole their vehicle from the driveway.
THEFT
- A resident reported that between 5:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Sept. 17, someone stole their unlocked bicycle from a bicycle rack in the 1900 block of Tower Drive.
- A Chicago resident called police at 10:22 p.m. Sept. 18, to report someone stole their wallet from a backpack while they were a customer at a business in 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
SPEEDING
A Glenview resident was cited at 10:28 p.m. Sept. 17, for speeding 26-30 mph over the speed limit, no insurance, following a traffic stop in the 3000 block of East Lake Avenue. They were released on bond and was assigned a court date of Oct. 25.
SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE
A Northfield resident was cited at 9:10 p.m. Sept. 20, for driving with a suspended driver's license, no valid driver's license, improper lighting, in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road. They were released on bond with a court date set for Oct. 8.
