Repeat Bank Robber Targets Glenview Chase Bank Branch: FBI

A man in sunglasses and white gloves with a scarf over his face tried to rob a Glenview bank through the drive-thru window on Saturday.

GLENVIEW, IL — A man who tried to rob a Glenview bank through a drive-thru window over the weekend is believed to have struck a bank in Franklin Park last month, according to the FBI.

Around 2:50 p.m., a man wearing white gloves, a striped scarf over his face and dark sunglasses tried to rob the Chase Bank at 990 River Drive in Glenview, according to the FBI's Chicago field office.

The FBI said investigators believe the same man was responsible for a Feb. 2 robbery at the US Bank, 10035 W. Grand Ave. in Franklin Park. The office released an blurry image appearing to show the man behind the wheel of a car at a drive-thru bank terminal.

A spokesperson for the Chicago office of the FBI declined to say if a weapon was involved in either incident or provide a description of the vehicle pictured in the image.

The FBI has offered a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the robber, who should be considered armed and dangerous, according to a wanted poster.
