GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

IDENTITY THEFT

Cesar Duran Carreno, 40, of the 4300 block of Crystal Street, Chicago, is accused of identity theft, and was arrested at 9:38 a.m. Nov, 10, at the Glenview Police Station. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident on Sept. 21 in the 1500 block of Waukegan Road. He was held for a conditions hearing.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Samuel Bova, 37, of the 4500 block of Lilac Avenue, Glenview, is accused of aggravated assault, and was arrested at 3:56 p.m. Nov. 10. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident on Nov. 9 in the 4500 block of Lilac Avenue. He was held for a conditions hearing.

BATTERY

Miguel Sanchez Ferreira, 23, of the 900 block of Old Willow Road, Prospect Heights, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 1:11 p.m. Nov. 12. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident that occurred in the 1600 block of Waukegan Road. He was released and given a court date.

FAILURE TO APPEAR IN COURT

Jonathan Ragusca, 27, of the 20 block of N. Branch Road, Northfield, had a valid outstanding warrant out of Kane County for failure to appear, and was arrested at 9:36 p.m. Nov. 8, after an investigation in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road. He posted bond on the warrant, which was issued in October 2021, and was released with a court date.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Evelyn Parn, 44, of the 1100 block of Talbots Lane, Elk Grove Village, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, illegal transportation of alcohol, and was arrested at 6:01 p.m. Nov. 6, after the investigation of an incident in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road. She was released with a court date.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

  • A resident in the 4700 block of Larch Avenue reported at 3:02 p.m. Nov. 7, someone entered their parked, unlocked, vehicle, parked in their garage, and rummaged through personal belongings.
  • A resident in the 3700 block of Timbers Edge Lane reported that during the overnight hours of Nov. 8, someone entered their parked vehicle and stole personal items.
  • A resident in the 1000 block of Ironwood Court called police at 9:42 p.m. Nov. 9, to report receiving an electronic alert of motion in their driveway. They watched live-feed video and saw a male, wearing a large puffy coat, pulling on the door handle to their unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway.
  • A resident in the 1600 block of Portage Run reported at 10:42 p.m. Nov. 9, receiving an electronic alert of motion in their driveway. They watched live-feed video and saw a male, wearing a large puffy coat, pulling on the door handle to their unlocked vehicle.
  • A resident in the 4100 block of Cove Lane called police Nov. 10 to report that their vehicle had been burglarized the previous day. Work tools had been taken from inside the van.

SPEEDING

A Franklin Park resident was cited at 12:42 a.m. Nov. 8, for speeding (26-34 MPH over the speed limit), suspended registration, uninsured motor vehicle after a traffic stop in the 100 block of Shermer Road.

THEFT

  • A resident in the 1800 block of George Court reported at 6:07 p.m. Nov. 10, someone stole a package off their porch.
  • A resident in the 0-100 block of Lincoln Street called police at 7:39 p.m. Nov. 10, to report someone had stolen a package off their porch.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Glenview resident was cited at 10:50 p.m. Nov. 11, for no valid driver’s license, registration suspended, no insurance, and expired registration, after a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Washington Street. They were released with a court date.
