Thieves Steal Halloween Skeletons From Front Yard: Glenview PD Blotter

A Halloween mannequin was stolen from their front porch of another yard, according to police.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Young Lee, 54, of the 1800 block of Westleigh Drive, Glenview, is accused of aggravated assault, and was arrested at 8:53 a.m. Nov. 5. He was held for a condition hearing.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY TO VEHICLE

A resident in the 800 block of 8th Street reported at 8:11 a.m. Oct. 31, someone had entered their vehicle, through an unlocked driver’s door, and stole a speaker.

STOLEN VEHICLE

A resident in the 600 block of 6th Street reported that during the overnight hours of Nov. 2, someone stole their vehicle, which was parked unlocked with the keys inside, from the corner of Main Street and 6th Street.

SPEEDING

A Park City resident was cited at 9:17 p.m. Nov. 2, for speeding (26-34 mph over the speed limit) after a traffic stop in the 400 block of East Lake Avenue.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Juniper Road resident reported that between Nov. 1 and Nov. 3, someone used their personal information, without permission, to open a Verizon account.

THEFT

  • A resident in the 300 block of Parkview Road called police at 2:09 a.m. Nov. 4, three males stole a Halloween mannequin from their front porch and fled the area in a dark-colored sedan.
  • A resident in the 400 block of Elm Street called police at 2:34 p.m. Nov. 4, to report someone stole six Halloween skeletons from their front yard.
  • An employee of a business in the 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard reported that between Nov. 3 and Nov. 4, someone stole a 5’x8’ solid wall trailer from the store’s parking lot.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 11:16 a.m. Nov. 4, a customer purchased electronics, left the store, and returned to the store shortly thereafter to return the product with another product in the box.

THEFT OF SERVICES

An employee of a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 2:05 p.m. Nov. 4, to report a customer left the business without paying for services rendered.

FORGERY

A Primrose Lane resident reported on Nov. 4 that they had mailed a check at the Glenview Post Office on Oct. 7. Shortly thereafter, they received a notification that the check was cashed to a different name with a different amount.

TRESPASSING

A Northfield resident was issued a village ordinance citation at 2:42 a.m. Nov. 7, for trespassing after officers located them in the North Glenview Metra Station, 2301 Lehigh Ave., knowing they had been given prior trespass notice to the facility.
