All residents of Maine Township are encouraged to save their aluminum beverage cans this summer as part of a recycling drive to support the Township's Food Pantry.
Here's how you can help:
- clean cans should be collected and brought to the Rexam Cans For Cash event on Sat., Sept. 6, 2014, from 9 a.m. to noon. The collection site is near Rosemont at 8770 West Bryn Mawr Ave., Chicago (I-90 and Cumberland Ave.).
- cans will be weighed and recycled.
- a cash receipt will be issued and can be turned in onsite with proceeds going directly to the Maine Township Food Pantry.
So, encourage friends and family along with any organizations that you belong to participate. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the food pantry while serves hundreds of needy families and individuals EVERY MONTH year round. Visit www.mainetownship.com for information.
On the collection day, food and refreshments will be served. A raffle drawing for great prizes will also be held.
