Search For Non-Verbal Man Missing Since May 4 Continues Near Glenview

Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart is renewing his request for the public's help in locating a man from unincorporated Maine Township.

COOK COUNTY, IL — It's been nine days and no one has seen Najee Stansberry. The 23-year-old unincorporated Maine Township man was discharged from Lutheran General Hospital at approximately 9:42 p.m. Wednesday, May 4. His family, along with local law enforcement agencies, is searching for the non-verbal man.

Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart is renewing his request for the public’s help in locating Stansberry. He is described by family members as 5-foot-9, approximately 175 pounds, with short, black hair, partially balding, brown eyes, and medium to dark complexion. Stansberry was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

Stansberry is believed to have a small amount of cash on him and may have had the ability to take public transportation. He is known to enjoy being around bodies of water, including lakes and ponds near his home, according to family.
