Severely Burned Cat Recovers at Shelter in Morton Grove

Rescuers suspect Milo had boiling water thrown on him.

Milo was saved by the no-kill shelter through an animal control facility four hours away, according to NBC-5-Chicago.

“When he saw the Wright-Way Rescue team arrive, Milo lifted his little head and purred,” said Christy Anderson, the founder and executive director of the rescue.

But even though Milo has endured “horrific pain” from the burns, rescue staff refers to him as “friendly and sweet.”

Milo still has months of recovery time ahead after undergoing a successful surgery. Wright-Way Rescue is asking for donations to help care for Milo. Anyone interested in contributing can donate here.
