Suspect Sketches, Photo of Car Released in Attempted Child Luring Investigation (UPDATED)
Glenview police received a report over the weekend of a man who asked 5 kids playing outside if they wanted to "drive around town."

GLENVIEW, IL — Police are asking residents for help identifying and locating a suspect who asked a group of children over the weekend if they wanted to "drive around town" with him.
The incident happened Sunday afternoon when an unidentified man tried to lure five kids into his car, according to a Glenview police report released Monday. The children were playing in the front yard of a home in the 1400 block of Woodlawn Road.
The man was driving westbound along Woodlawn Road at about 6:10 p.m. when he stopped in front of the house where the kids were playing and asked, "Do any of you want to get in my car and drive around town?" When one child answered no and ran away, the driver then sped away, traveling westbound toward Waukegan Road, police say.

Police released composite sketches of the man Monday based on the following description from witnesses:
- white, between 50 to 55 years old
- balding on with a salt-and-pepper bard
- wears glasses
Witnesses also told police the man was driving an older model, gray or silver sedan with rust on the sides and bottom. On Tuesday, police released a photo of the car.
