Young adults face a myriad of challenges that simple did not exist a generation ago. Higher levels of education are needed to land jobs with often limited opportunities for advancement, fewer high-paying jobs are available overall, and due to the high cost of education, many young adults simply cannot afford to live on their own. Parents may not have firsthand knowledge of these challenges; however, they can help by providing the support needed for young adult children to build the independence and self-confidence they need to continue the job hunt and navigate adulthood.
