Surveillance Footage Shows Known Suspect Scratching Car Door: Blotter

- A Glenview resident reported at 2:38 p.m. March 29, someone used their identifying information to open a T-Mobile account and purchased two Apple iPhone Pro Max cell phones.
- A Glenview resident called police at 5:20 p.m. March 29, to report someone used their identifying information to obtain a Best Buy credit card and made $6,000 worth of online purchases.
- A Glenview resident reported at 1:52 p.m. April 2, someone withdrew $4,281.29 from their Chase bank account.
- A Glenview resident called police on April 4 to report that in December 2021, someone used their identifying information to open an American Express credit card and make a purchase for $795 at Budget Car Rental in Austin, Texas.
THEFT
A Glenview resident reported that between 3 p.m. March 30 and 7:25 a.m. March 31, someone stole the catalytic converter from their vehicle while it was parked in the 3200 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY
Glenview police responded at 10:49 p.m. March 31, to a shooting incident at Motel 6, 1535 Milwaukee Avenue. The preliminary investigation revealed a 39-year-old male was battered and shot during an argument with a known suspect. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. The wounded male was transported by the Glenview Fire Department to Glenbrook Hospital, treated for his non-life-threatening injuries, and released. - A Glenview resident called police at 9:34 a.m. April 1, to report the catalytic converter was removed from their vehicle while parked in the 3200 block of Sanders Road.
- Three men cut off the catalytic converters on two vehicles parked in a parking lot of a business in the 100 block of Waukegan Road at 7:14 a.m. April 3. The men were driving in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee.
SPEEDING
- An Arlington Heights resident was cited for speeding 26+ mph over the speed limit at 11:16 p.m. April 1, after a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Willow Road. The resident was released on scene with an I-bond and given a court date of May 5.
- A Glenview resident was cited for speeding 26+ mph over the speed limit at 12:59 a.m. April 2, after a traffic stop in the 4000 block of West Lake Avenue. The resident was released on scene with an I-bond and court date of May 5.
THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
A Little Rock, Arkansas resident reported at 12:10 p.m. April 2, the catalytic converter was removed from their vehicle while it was parked at a business in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
- A Melrose Park resident reported on April 2, someone entered their unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the rear of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road, between 2-4 p.m.
- A Glenview resident called police at 10:48 p.m. April 4, to report they saw a male, wearing a dark jacket and dark-colored beanie, burglarizing a neighbor’s vehicle in the 1500 block of Crown Lane.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A Palatine resident called police at 1:14 p.m. April 3, to report their vehicle was damaged while it was parked in the parking lot of a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road. Surveillance footage showed a known suspect scratched the front driver’s side door of the vehicle.
DRUG OFFENSE
A Chicago resident was cited at 8:17 p.m. April 3, for unlawful possession of cannabis by driver, driving on a suspended license, possession of a suspended license, expired registration, following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Waukegan Road. They were released on an I-Bond with a court date of May 5.
BURGLARY
- A business owner reported during the overnight hours of April 3, a company refrigerated truck and trailer were burglarized while parked in the 2400block of East Lake Avenue.
- A Northbrook resident called police at 2:16 p.m. April 4, to report someone two hours earlier stole cash from their wallet, which was stored in a locker at a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road.
REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE
A Chicago resident was cited at 1:37 p.m. April 4 for driving on a revoked license, unlawful possession of cannabis by driver, loud muffler, no seat belt, operating a vehicle while using an electronic communication device, following a traffic stop in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They were released on an I-Bond with a court date of May 10.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
A Glenview resident reported that during the overnight hours of April 4, someone attempted to gain entry to their vehicle while it was parked in their driveway in the 1500 block of Pfingsten Road.
