Suspect Flees As Domestic Battery Victim Attempts To Get Help In Glenview: Police
Neighboring police departments assisted Glenview in a coordinated search for the suspect Tuesday night, who had fled to a wooded area.
GLENVIEW, IL — A domestic battery victim attempted to get help Tuesday night from a Glenview resident when the suspect fled the car the two were traveling in, prompting a multi-police department search.
Glenview police responded to domestic battery in progress at around 7:24 p.m. in the 300 block of Glenview Road. Police said a vehicle involved was traveling through Glenview at the time when the victim stopped to seek help from a residence.

The suspect then fled from the scene on foot into the nearby wooded area. Glenview police said they conducted a coordinated search with assistance from neighboring departments, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The victim was transported to Glenbrook Hospital for treatment.

Residents were being advised to call 911 if they witness anything suspicious near Glenview and Harms roads Tuesday night due to police activity in the area.
The Glenview Public Safety Dispatch Center sent out a social media alert regarding the situation at 8:42 p.m., but didn't specify what was going on. The center later said the it had been resolved.
The Glenview Police Department believes this was a targeted isolated incident and there is no known threat to the public. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
