A strengths-based approach to treating autism spectrum disorders can be helpful in a number of different ways. In addition to building the self-esteem, self-eddicacy, and self-confidence of the child, a strengths-based approach can also change the way that individuals and society view ASDs. By spreading knowledge of these therapeutic techniques and introducing people to their positive results, others can see the potential of the child and the strengths that can lead the child to success in life.
