Thief Steals 71 Over-The-Counter Medications: Glenview Police Blotter

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

- Juan Abad, 30, of the 50th Court, Cicero, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, unlawful possession of cannabis, speeding, disobeying a traffic control device, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 3:39 a.m. July 22, following a traffic stop in the 800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on bond.
- Dale Christofferson, 70, of the 9100 block of Gross Point Road, Skokie, is accused of DUI alcohol, resisting arrest of a peace officer, and was arrested at 6:31 p.m. July 22, following an investigation in the 1000 block of Waukegan Road. He was released on bond.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
Marcos Sanchez Hernandez, 38, of the 300 block of 3rd Street, Northfield, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 10 p.m. July 24, following the investigation of an incident in the 300 block of 3rd Street. He was held for a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO PROPERTY
Brian Foley, Jr., 22, of the 1300 block of Kenilworth Lane, Glenview, is accused of criminal trespass to property, criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 4:41 a.m. July 19, following the investigation of an incident in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road. He was released on bond.
- A resident in the 1200 block of Longmeadow Drive reported that between July 17 and July 18, someone entered their parked car and stole and stole personal items.
- A resident in the 1800 block of Prairie Street reported that between July 21 and July 23, someone entered their parked, unlocked vehicle and stole a golf bag containing golf clubs.
RETAIL THEFT
- An employee of a business in the 1800 block of Tower Drive called police at 7:03 p.m. July 18, a female stole several items from the store, stuffed them under her shirt, and fled the area in a Jeep Cherokee.
- An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 12:58 p.m. July 20, a male entered the store and left with a purse and a T-shirt without paying for them. When approached by security outside the store, the male re-entered the store, handed the merchandise to employees and left the store again.
- An employee of a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road called police to report a delayed retail theft that occurred at 8:45 a.m. July 21. An unknown suspect stole 71 over the counter medicines. The suspect left in a silver vehicle.
FLEEING/ELUDING POLICE
Police attempted to stop a dark-colored SUV at 1:22 a.m. July 19, that was speeding in the 3100 block of Sanders Road. The SUV sped away from officers and was last seen north on Sanders Road, passing Willow Road.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 1400 block of Glenview Road called police at 9:49 p.m. July 19, to report damage to their vehicle when a passing vehicle threw a firecracker at it while it was parked in the parking garage at 2701 Aviator Lane.
SPEEDING
- A Harwood Heights resident was cited for speeding (26-34 mph over the speed limit) at 9:53 a.m. July 21, after a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Sanders Road.
- A Skokie resident was cited at 1:11 p.m. July 24, for speeding (26-34 mph over the speed limit), having an expired registration, following a traffic stop in the 4600 block of West Lake Avenue.
SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE
- A Des Plaines resident was cited for driving while license suspended, suspended registration, no insurance, expired registration, at 4:11 p.m. July 21, after a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Golf Road.
- A Chicago resident was cited at 10:39 p.m. July 23, for having a suspended driver's license, uninsured motor vehicle, driving without headlights when required, following a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Waukegan Road.
THEFT
- A resident reported at 4:32 p.m. July 21, someone took her purse and phone that had been left in a shopping cart in a business in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
- A resident called police at 9:51 p.m. July 22, someone stole personal belongings from them while at a business in the 1800 block of Tower Drive.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A resident in the 1700 block of Dewes Street was cited at 9:02 p.m. July 21, under local ordinance, with two counts of disorderly conduct following the investigation of a traffic dispute.
