Audrey Hanley, 59, of the 1000 block of Coral Berry Path, Gurnee, is accused of burglary, criminal trespass to a residence, and was arrested at 6:02 p.m. Feb. 27, following an incident in the 1000 block of Raleigh Road. She was held for a bond hearing.

Michelle Stephens, 27, of the 6000 block of Hawthorne Street, Rosemont, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 1:58 a.m. Feb. 25, following a traffic crash in the 3300 block of Glenview Road. She was released on an I-Bond with a court date of March 14 assigned.

INCIDENTS

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF CANNABIS

A Chicago resident was cited at 1:12 p.m. Feb. 23, for unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, operating a vehicle with registration plate covers, following a traffic stop in the 2500 Block of East Lake Avenue. They were released on an I-Bond with a court date of April 1 assigned.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS

  • A person reported at 12:28 p.m. Feb. 23, someone cut off the exhaust components from a work van while it was parked in the parking lot of the 2300 block of Willow Road. The complainant described the offender as a man, 5-foot-7, 160 pounds, slim build. The offender entered a white Hyundai sedan with unknown registration and left the area.
  • A Glenview resident called police at 5:32 p.m. Feb. 23, to report their catalytic converter was stolen from their vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot of a business in the 2700 block of Patriot Boulevard sometime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • A Lake Zurich resident reported at 6:21 p.m. Feb. 23, their catalytic converter was stolen from their vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

  • A resident in the 3200 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 9:56 a.m. Feb. 25, that during the overnight hours, someone forced open the front door, and rummaged through several dresser drawers in the master bedroom. Nothing appeared taken from the residence.
  • A resident in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive called police at 5:55 a.m. Feb. 26, to report during the overnight hours, someone used force to their front door in an attempt to gain entry to the residence. Entry was not made, but there was damage to the door frame and locking mechanism.
  • A Glenview resident reported at 8:56 p.m. Feb. 26, that earlier in the day, someone entered their home through the front window and ransacked the entire residence. The complainant believed numerous pieces of jewelry and a backpack were taken during the incident.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive called police at 11:35 a.m. Feb. 27, to report three people dressed in all black, forced entry into a locked glass case and stole 15 to 20 purses and wallets. The suspects were seen leaving the scene in a maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Pennsylvania license plate.

STOLEN VEHICLE

A business owner in the 3000 block of North Lake Terrace reported at 11 a.m. Feb. 28, a gold 1985 Chevrolet Capice Classic was stolen from the business’ parking lot. The vehicle was last seen sometime in the beginning of January 2022.

SPEEDING

A Des Plaines resident was cited at 12:53 p.m. Feb. 28, for speeding 26 mph over the speed limit following a traffic stop in the 4600 Block of West Lake Avenue They posted their Illinois driver's license as bond and were released with a court date of April 1 assigned.

SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Chicago resident was cited at 6:35 p.m. Feb. 28, for driving with a suspended driver's license, speeding 21-25 mph over the speed limit, following a traffic stop in the 1900 block of East Lake Avenue. They were released on an I-Bond with a court date of March 29 assigned.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Cicero resident was cited at 10:33 p.m. Feb. 28, for no valid driver's license, only one red taillight, following a traffic stop in the 500 block of East Lake Avenue. They were released on an I-Bond with a court date of March 29 was assigned.
