A Mount Prospect resident is accused of improper use of registration, and was arrested at 12:46 p.m. Jan. 9, following a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

  • Nelson Amaya Campos, 34, of the 2600 block of W. Cornelia Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, illegal transportation of alcohol, illegal stopping, and was arrested at 11:16 p.m. Jan. 7, following a traffic stop. He was released on bond with a court date set for Feb. 3.
  • Jeison Jacobo-Martinez, 29, of the 100 block of Blackhawk Driver, Park Forest, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, suspended registration, following a traffic stop at 3:37 a.m. Jan. 8, in the 10300 block of Dearlove Road. He was released on bond and was assigned a court date of Feb. 2.

INCIDENTS

THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

A Mundelein resident reported at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 3, a truck with a plow attachment and tow attachment was stolen from the parking lot of a business in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • A Lincolnwood resident was cited at 7:29 p.m. Jan. 3, for having a suspended driver's license, speeding 15-20 mph over the speed limit, at a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road.
  • A Northbrook resident was cited at 11:59 p.m. Jan. 7, for having a suspended driver's license, after a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Glenview resident was cited at 7:22 p.m. Jan. 5, for speeding, no driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, after a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road.

BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE

A resident in the 3200 block of Harrison Street reported at 9:53 a.m. Jan. 7, someone had shattered the front passenger window of their vehicle while it was parked in the driveway and removed sunglasses.

AGGRAVATED IDENTITY THEFT

A resident in the 1100 block of Highland Lane called police at 1:07 a.m. Jan. 8, to report receiving an email from “Amazon.com” to secure their account. The email led to a fraudulent website where they provided personal and credit card information.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of a business in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road reported at 8:46 a.m. Jan. 8, three men had entered the store, gathered liquor bottles in a shopping cart and left the store without paying for the items.

STOLEN VEHICLE

A Wheeling resident reported Jan. 9, their vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot at a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard between 7 p.m. and 8:35 p.m.
