Twin Brothers Arrested During Burglary Investigation: Blotter

INCIDENTS
THEFT
A property owner in the 2400 block of Central Road reported at 3:11 p.m. on Aug. 21 someone had been contracted to paint a house and paid $750 but never showed up.

BATTERY
A contractor in the 4400 block of Willow Road reported at 12:36 p.m. on Aug. 22 that a co-worker had pushed him in the chest.
HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 1300 block of Plymouth Lane reported at 1:48 p.m. on Aug. 22 that someone had broken into their home through a window, stealing about $4,000 worth of electronics and jewelry.

SHOPLIFTING
An employee at a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 7:21 p.m. on Aug. 22 that a man had run out of the store with three boxes for a loss of $10.
TRESPASSING
An employee in the 100 block of Harlem Avenue reported at 7:51 p.m. on Aug. 22 that someone was on the business’ property without permission.
CAR BURGLARIES
- A resident in the 100 block of Elm Street reported at 5:05 a.m. on Aug 24 that someone had entered an unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway and stolen $10 worth of food from inside.
- A resident in the 2100 block of Hickory Court reported at 5:05 a.m. on Aug. 24 that someone had entered an unlocked car parked on a driveway, rummaged through its contents and scattered them around the passenger compartment.
- A resident in the 2100 block of Hickory Court reported at 5:07 a.m. on Aug. 24 that someone had entered a vehicle parked on the driveway and stolen wallet from inside for a loss of $8.
- A resident in the 100 block of Elm Street reported at 2:54 a.m. on Aug. 24 that someone had entered their unlocked vehicle parked on the driveway during the overnight hours and scattered the contents of the glove box in the car. Nothing was reported stolen at the time of the report.
- A resident in the 200 block of Elm reported at 5:43 p.m. on Aug. 24 that someone had stolen a backpack from inside an unlocked car parked in a driveway during the overnight hours of Aug. 23 to 24 for a loss of $80.
- A resident in the 2400 block of Fontana Drive reported around 9 a.m. on Aug. 24 that someone had entered an unlocked car that was parked in a driveway during the overnight hours of Aug. 23 to 24 and stole $1.50 in change.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Queens Lane resident reported at 8:56 p.m. on Aug. 21 that someone used their personal information to file for unemployment benefits
VAN BREAK-IN
A worker in the 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 11:41 a.m. on Aug. 25 that someone broke a lock on their van during daylight hours and stole tools for a loss of $15,000.
HOME BURGLARY
A resident in the 500 block of Echo Lane reported at 5:17 p.m. on Aug. 24 that someone had entered their residence during the early morning hours and stole telephone keys and a purse from inside for a loss of $250.
THEFT
A resident in the 700 block of Elmgate Drive reported at 5:51 p.m. on Aug. 25 that someone had stolen a portable refrigerator that was left near a car for a loss of $130.
SHOPLIFTING
An employee of a store in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 9:37 p.m. on Aug. 25 that someone had stolen $53 worth of clothing from the business.
THEFT
A customer in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road reported at 1:53 p.m. on Aug. 26 that someone stole a wallet from inside a purse that had been left unattended on a counter for a loss of $80.
PUBLIC URINATION
A resident in the 4300 block of Ivy Lane reported at 6:37 p.m. on Aug. 27 that an intoxicated man had urinated on the sidewalk near the intersection of Ivy Lane and Potter Road.
ARRESTS
Shayan Hossien, 22, of the 9400 block of Tripp Avenue in Skokie, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. on Aug. 22 following a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Central Road charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above. He was also issued a citation for speeding 15 to 20 mph above the limit.
A 37-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 11:20 p.m. on Aug. 22 following a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Waukegan Road and charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license. She was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a vehicle with expired registration for the third time in a year and improper display of license plates.
Jonathan Hacker, 38, of the 4200 block of West Lake Avenue in Glenview, was arrested 1:41 p.m. on Aug. 23 and charged with identity theft during an investigation into a car burglary in the 2300 block of Sussex Lane. He had an active arrest warrant issued by Lake County connected to a change of retail theft.
Gerald Hacker, 38, of the 4200 West Lake Avenue in Glenview, was arrested at 1:41 p.m. on Aug. 23 in the same incident. Following an investigation into a car burglary in the 3500 block of Winnetka Road, he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and taken into custody on four active Cook County no-bond warrants – two connected to charges of fraud, one to a forgery case and one connected to a charge of escape. According to court records, the two men are twin brothers.
Eduardo Sanchez, 58, of the 3400 block of Salem Walk in Northbrook, was arrested at 12:16 a.m. on Aug. 25 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was also cited for improper lane usage.
A 56-year-old Northfield woman was arrested at 8:34 p.m. on Aug. 25 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road.
Ana Flores, 40, of the 4700 block of Williamsburg Court in Glenview, was arrested at 3:11 a.m. on Aug. 26 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above following a traffic stop in the 800 block of Dearlove Road. She was also cited for improper lane usage.
