Patch's Coverage of the Tricia Pacaccio Murder Case

Michael Gargiulo has been indicted on first-degree murder for the teen's 1993 stabbing death.

Update July 8, 2:45 p.m.

After nearly two decades, prosecutors charged 35-year-old Michael Gargiulo with the murder of his former neighbor and classmate Tricia Pacaccio July 6.

Pacaccio, 18, was stabbed to death on the front stoop of her Glenview home in 1993. Patch helped break the case when a reader wrote in the comment section of a Patch article about the cold case, saying that Gargiulo had confessed to him.
