GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CREDIT CARD

Khetag I. Kozonov, 27, of the 10000 block of Linda Lane, Des Plaines, is accused of unlawful possession of a credit card, theft, criminal trespass to property, no valid driver's license, unlawful electronic communication, and was arrested at 3:43 p.m. Aug. 25, in the 8900 block of Golf Road, Niles. The arrested stemmed from an Aug. 9 identity theft investigation in the 2100 block of Henley. He was held pending a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Aldo Flores, 46, of the 9500 block of Dee Road, Des Plaines, is accused of two counts of disorderly conduct, and was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 23, at the Glenview Police Department. The arrest followed an investigation into two incidents reported on Aug. 16 in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on bond.

BURGLARY

Shelby Hurd, 34, of the 6000 block of S. Fairfield Avenue, Chicago, is accused of burglary, and was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 22, in the 8000 block of S. Cottage Grove, Chicago. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident reported on May 31 in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road. He was held for a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

George Jacob, 59, of the 1100 block of Bette Lane, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 4:27 p.m. Aug. 22, following the investigation of a traffic crash in the 1000 block of Bette Lane. He was released on bond.

INCIDENTS

FORGERY

  • A Robincrest Lane resident reported at 2:14 p.m. Aug. 22, a check mailed at the Glenview U.S. Post Office was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person for a different amount.
  • A Maple Leaf Drive resident called police at 11:01 a.m. Aug. 24, to report a check mailed with the USPS was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person for a different amount.
  • A Goldenrod Lane resident reported at 11:47 a.m. Aug. 28, a check mailed from the Glenview US Post Office was intercepted in the mail and cashed for a different amount and to a different person.

SPEEDING

A Glenview resident was cited at 7:09 p.m. Aug. 24, for speeding (35+ mph over the speed limit) following a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Chestnut Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 2:18 p.m. Aug. 25, a theft that occurred on Feb. 14. An unknown male offender removed golf clubs and left the store without paying.
  • An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive called police Aug. 25 to report a theft that occurred on July 29. An unknown female removed two pairs of shoes and left the store without paying.
  • An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 4:15 p.m. Aug. 25, a male placed multiple electronics into a shopping cart and ran out an emergency exit without paying.
  • An employee of a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 11:49 a.m. Aug. 27, a customer stole electronic items from the store. Officers contacted the customer, who agreed to return to the store and pay for the items.
  • An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road called police at 7:29 p.m. Aug. 27, to report a male placed numerous cosmetic items into a backpack and left the store without paying for them.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

  • An Echo Lane resident called police at 10:05 a.m. Aug. 26, to report someone stole money from their parked vehicle, in the 1300 block of Glenview Road.
  • A White House, Tennessee resident reported at 1:03 a.m. Aug. 27, two unknown suspects removed the catalytic converter from a vehicle while it was parked at a business in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue. The suspects fled the scene.

STOLEN VEHICLE

A resident in the 1400 block of Plymouth Lane reported that during the overnight hours of Aug. 28, someone stole their vehicle from their driveway. The owner is unsure if keys were left in the car.
