Wagner Farm Director Named Glenview Park Superintedent

From Glenview Park District: The Glenview Park District has just filled a vacancy in its leadership staff. Todd Price, who has served the district for the last 17 years as founding director of the Historic Wagner Farm, will assume the role of Superintendent of Leisure Services.

“At the conclusion of a rigorous (nationwide) selection process, it was clear that his experience, track record for success and his strong leadership skills were the best suited for the position and the Park District,” said Michael McCarty, Glenview Park District Executive Director.

Price’s notable contributions to the park district include a successful $2.5 million capital campaign for the Farm’s Heritage Center. He increased revenue at the farm by continuing to create new events, started on-site agricultural sales, secured corporate sponsorships and expanded the gift shop. Price also revived the Glenview Farmer’s Market which attracts thousands of visitors per year and started the first in the state private Double Value Food Stamp program. He is also responsible for bringing the farm up-to-speed with social media platforms and creating the weekly Wagner Tails newsletter to promote a positive image of Wagner Farm.

“I am both humbled and excited to have the opportunity to be the next Superintendent of the Leisure Services Division. Having spent the last 17 plus years working for the Glenview Park District, I know firsthand the impact of programming and how it can enhance people’s lives. I look forward to continuing to stretch our vision when it comes to offering exceptional and creative programming across the District,” Price said.

Price will assume his new role on September 4th. A national search for the new Wagner Farm Director will begin later this month. Sarah Schoeneberg will serve as interim director of Wagner Farm.
