What Exactly is W-Sitting?

As school begins many parents will hear "your child W-sits during circle/carpet time." What does this mean?

What exactly is W-sitting? Many parents will hear this term for the first time as their child begins school. W-sitting is when a child sits on the ground with their legs out to the side. When you look at their position from the top it resembles a "W."

There are a lot of reasons a child may prefer to sit like this and our infographic goes into detail explaining those reasons as well as ways to correct it.
