Wisconsin Man Resists Cops Outside Liquor Store: Glenview Police Blotter
The 38-year-old was also charged with obstructing identification during the incident in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue.

Samuel Cox, 29, of the 3700 block of Greenleaf Avenue, Glenview, had a warrant from the Schaumburg Police Department, and was arrested at 5:08 p.m. March 4. He was taken to the Glenview Police Department before being turned over to Schaumburg police.
BATTERY

Taghred Mohamed, 54, of the 9100 block of Potter Road, Des Plaines, is accused of two counts of battery, and was arrested at 12:18 p.m. March 5, at the Glenview Police Department. The charges stem from an investigation into an incident on Feb. 24 in the 2400 block of Patriot Boulevard. He was released and assigned a court date of March 31.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Roberto Mancilla-Oropeza, 51, of the 300 block of 3rd Street, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence, DUI with a blood alcohol content level over .08, failure to remain at the scene of a vehicle damage accident, illegal transportation of alcohol, and was arrested at 5:09 p.m. March 5, following a traffic crash investigation in the 2400 block of Waukegan Road. He was released and assigned a court date of April 22.
OBSTRUCTING IDENTIFICATION
Curtis Johnson, 38, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is accused of obstructing identification, resisting a peace officer, loitering within 300 feet of a business selling alcohol (local ordinance), and was arrested at 6:37 p.m. March 6, in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of March 31.
SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE
Cristina Rodriguez-Contreras, 44, of the 7000 block of S. California, Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended license, having registration suspended for non-insurance, no insurance, and was arrested at 2:19 a.m. March 9, in the 700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. She was released and assigned a court date of April 17.
INCIDENTS
THEFT
Employees for a business in the 1800 block of Tower Drive reported at 1:43 p.m. March 3, a customer had taken merchandise from a display and concealed them before leaving the store without paying for the items.
IDENTITY THEFT
- A Chestnut Avenue resident reported at 4:26 p.m. March 3, a fraudulent charge on their credit account to Apple, who advised a cell phone was purchased and being shipped to another Glenview address. Apple stopped the shipment and the fraudulent charge was reported to the bank.
- A Sequoia Trail resident reported on March 6 that in August 2025, someone had opened an eBay account in their name. They received a tax filing letter from eBay indicating they will owe $1,885.69 to the IRS.
- A Primrose Lane resident reported at 12:43 p.m. March 7, someone had made three unauthorized charges on their credit card. The charges occurred in Buffalo
Grove, Chicago, and Gilberts. The total charges were $6,399.50.
FLEEING/ELUDING POLICE
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was speeding at 2:57 a.m. March 5, northbound in the 2600 block of Sanders Road. After police activated their emergency lights, police said the vehicle accelerated in speed onto the southbound I-294 ramp, turning off their lights and reaching a speed of 123 mph. Officers did not pursue.
BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
- A resident of the 1700 block of Grove Street reported that during the overnight hours of March 5, someone had entered their vehicle while it was parked on the street and stole $800.
- A resident of the 1300 block of Tinker Way reported at 12:39 p.m. March 5, someone had entered their unlocked vehicle and stole various items valued at $400.
BURGLARY
An owner of a property in the 4600 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 6:09 p.m. March 5, appliances were missing and there were multiple locations of damage inside after the previous tenants had been evicted.
DISTURBANCE
Employees for a business in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 11:48 a.m. March 7, a customer was being disrespectful toward employees and other patrons. The person was given a verbal trespass warning not to return.
HARASSMENT THROUGH ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
A Waterview Drive resident reported at 4:38 p.m. March 7, receiving harassing Facebook messages demanding money and swearing in Polish.
TRESPASS WARNING
Employees for a business in the 2600 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 12:44 p.m. March 9, a patient was yelling due to their insurance being denied, causing a scene at the front desk. The business requested a trespass warning be given for person not to return.
