Woman Charged After Allegedly Altering Price Tags at Von Maur in The Glen

The Glenview woman is accused of switching a tag from a lower priced purse to a more expensive one.

GLENVIEW, IL - A Glenview woman faces a retail theft charge after police said loss prevention agents at the Von Maur store in The Glen witnessed her switching price tags on a pair of purses.

Anne M. Grimes, 45, of the 2300 block of Spruce Street also had an active arrest warrant out of Prospect Heights for criminal damage to property when she was taken into custody at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to police.

She is now accused of switching the price tags from a lower priced Nash Glacier wallet to a higher priced Nash Glacier purse, resulting in a $100 loss for the business.
