Woman Extricated From Car After Box Truck Crash In Glenview

GLENVIEW, IL — A woman had to be extricated from the car she was driving and taken to an area hospital following a Tuesday morning crash involving a box truck. At around 7:30 a.m., Glenview fire officials responded to the intersection of Central and East River roads.

The woman was taken to Lutheran General Hospital with serious injuries. A passenger was also taken to the hospital for observation with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver and passenger of the box truck were released at the scene.

North Maine Fire Protection District provided assistance.

The accident is under investigation by the Cook County Sheriff’s Police Department.
