Woman Points Stun Gun At Store Employees: Glenview Police Blotter
The employees were following the woman through the store as she attempted to leave with stolen items.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. BURGLARY TO VEHICLE

Kristen Kennedy, 36, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of burglary to vehicle, identity theft, and was arrested at 1:54 p.m. Aug. 5, following an investigation in the 1800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. Kennedy was charged. She also had two warrants.

Sergio Leonel Solorzano Rivas, 19, of the 300 block of Washington Avenue, Highwood, is accused of having no valid driver's license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 10 a.m. Aug. 6, following a traffic crash investigation in the 2300 block of East Lake Avenue. They were released and assigned a court date of Aug. 30.
RETAIL THEFT
- Shania Price, 25, of the 6400 block of S. King Drive, Chicago, is accused of retail theft, obstructing a peace officer, fleeing/eluding peace officer, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, improper lane usage, improper signal, no insurance, and was arrested at 6:37 p.m. Aug. 3, after an investigation that began at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 1900 Tower Drive. Price was held for a conditions hearing.
- Jatariah Brown, 20, of the 170 block of W. 151th Street, Harvey, is accused of retail theft, obstructing a peace officer, and was arrested at 6:37 p.m. Aug. 3, in the 2200 block of Shermer Road after an investigation that began at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 1900 Tower Drive. Brown was held for a conditions hearing.
- Alize Christian, 26, of the 8200 block of Marshfield Avenue, Chicago, is accused of retail theft, obstructing a peace officer, obstructing identification, a Lake County warrant, a Kentucky warrant, and was arrested at 6:37 pm. Aug. 3, after an investigation that began at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 1900 Tower Drive. Christian was held for a conditions hearing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Stefan Glowa, 54, of the 3200 block of Salk Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 3:18 p.m. July 30, following a traffic crash investigation in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 26.

INCIDENTS
THEFT
- A Fernwood Lane resident reported that they had paid for items at a store in the 2900 block of Patriot Boulevard on July 28 with a debit card from their wallet. On July 29, the resident could not locate their wallet and learned it was used to make two purchases at a Walgreens in Waukegan.
- An Arbor Lane resident called police on July 30 to report hiring a business to clear out their storage unit in the 3300 block of West Lake Avenue on July 18 and move the items to their residence. Several items did not return home with the rest of the items. Total loss is $5,000.
- A resident in the 2300 block of Indian Ridge Drive called police at 4:37 p.m. July 31, to report someone had removed their Weber grill from the back patio sometime overnight. Estimated loss is $250.
- A Chicago resident reported working at 2:38 p.m. July 31, working at a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Blvd and leaving their backpack unattended. They later got a notification that their credit card was used at a business in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. The complainant went to the business and the clerk pointed out the person who made the purchase across the street. The complainant followed the person and officers located them with the backpack but denied using the credit card.
- Employees of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road reported at 8 a.m. Aug. 1, a male had taken a drink from the pickup counter, without showing proof of purchase, then left the business. Officers located a person that matched the description of the offender near a bus stop. They were not making sense and said they owned Starbucks. They were given a trespass warning not to return.
- A Northfield resident called police at 2:40 p.m. Aug. 2, to report they accidentally “Zelled” a friend $1,600. They called the friend, who refused to give back the money. Attempts to contact the friend were unsuccessful.
- A resident of the 900 block of Kenilworth Lane reported at 2:47 a.m. Aug. 5, two unknown people rang the Ring doorbell at 0247 hours. They checked the video and it showed the duo walking up to the door, taking the doorbell and walking away.
IDENTITY THEFT
- A Wildberry Drive resident reported at 5:37 p.m. July 30, speaking with someone they believed was from Apple support. The person told them there were issues with their computer and bank login information. During the conversation, a wire transfer of $99,992.92 was completed.
- A Del Ogier Drive resident reported at 1:40 p.m. Aug. 2, someone used their personal identifying information to open a ChaseBank account and attach it to their account, and then transfer out a total of $18,200.
RETAIL THEFT
- A Park Drive resident called police at 11:28 a.m. Aug. 1, to report buying an Apple gift card from a business in the 3300 block of Glenview Road, but when they went to use it, it was empty. They also admitted to stealing a gift card from the store, but it was not activated, so did not have any amount to it. The business advised them to contact the bank and Apple for any issue for the activated gift card. They also requested a trespass warning be given, due to them making threats to employees when they were trying to address the gift card issue. They were given the warning and told not to return.
- Employees of a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 4:36 p.m. Aug. 4, three males put several bottles of liquor into a backpack. Employees chased them as they left the store without paying for the items. They entered a red Jeep and left the area.
TRESPASS WARNING
Employees of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road requested at 2:15 p.m. Aug. 1, trespass warnings be given to solicitors in front of the business. They were given a warning not to return to the property. They had been soliciting with their small child.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident in the 600 block of Shermer Road called police at 1:01 a.m. Aug. 4, to report someone had made forced entry to their residence through a rear door sometime during the overnight hours. They reported documents, jewelry, and U.S. currency were taken from the residence.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 3000 block of Maple Leaf Drive reported at 2:37 p.m. Aug. 4, being approached by two males in a white Chevy Suburban, with a decal that said “Dent Repair Scratch Repair.” They agreed to pay them $500 to fix their bumper. After they completed the work, they paid them via Zelle. Afterwords, they noticed the dent was not repaired, but spray-painted, and a crack filled but not fixed.
UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON
Employees of a Waukegan Road business reported at 10:10 p.m. Aug. 4, a woman was filling her purse, a bag, and a shopping cart with items. The female attempted to exit the center doors, but they were locked due to the hour. The female left the shopping cart and attempted to leave out the south doors, while employees followed her. She pointed a black object, possibly a stun gun, at the employees. They stopped, and she left the store, entering the passenger door of a black 2 door Infiniti sedan, driven by a male driver.
STOLEN VEHICLE
A Highland Park resident repoted that at 8 p.m. Aug. 4, they dropped off their vehicle at a business in the 200 block of Waukegan Road, leaving the fob in the drop box. They were notified by Morton Grove Police Department that the vehicle fled police at 4:30 a.m. Aug. 5. Surveillance shows the vehicle exiting the business parking lot at 4:30 a.m.
