YOU Do The Work

Some people enter therapy because they believe that their therapist will do all the hard work for them, providing answers and insight to solve their problems. This is not the case. Therapy often involves considerable work on the part of the individual both in and out of session. Clients must take a hard look at their lives and behaviors to understand outcomes and make changes; the therapist is there to help them organize those changes, set reasonable goals, and guide them to healthy ways of achieving those goals.
