Glen Carbon man charged after allegedly throwing milk at deputy (thetelegraph.com) — Recent Madison County felony filings include an alleged criminal trespass at a home on St. Thomas Drive in Godfrey, where a man is accused of entering without permission while the resident was present. The roundup also covers separate cases from Glen Carbon, Alton, East Alton, and Wood River, with all defendants presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

2. Lewis and Clark nursing program earns continued ACEN accreditation (riverbender.com) — Lewis and Clark Community College’s nursing program in Godfrey has earned another eight years of ACEN accreditation, with no findings cited in the latest review. That strong result reflects years of preparation by faculty and students, and helps ensure local nursing graduates remain highly regarded by employers and transfer programs across the region.

3. John Robert Campbell (poncacitynews.com) — A longtime engineer and dedicated volunteer, John Robert Campbell has close family ties to Godfrey through his sister Lisa Myers, who lives here. Born in Alton and recently resettled in O’Fallon, he spent his life serving community theaters, churches, animal causes, and charities before passing away unexpectedly on May 7. His family will remember him at a private gathering.

4. Jacob Fickle (riverbender.com) — Godfrey residents are mourning union carpenter and Eagle Scout Jacob Fickle, whose children, grandmother, and much of his family live in town. He enjoyed the outdoors and collecting, and is remembered by many local relatives. Visitation is Thursday in Alton, with graveside services Friday in Kampsville.
