• Hundreds of Jeeps to Cruise Historic Route 66 During Route 66 Centennial Celebration (riverbender.com) — Hundreds of Jeep owners will roll into downtown Granite City on Saturday, June 6, for a Route 66 centennial “Jeep Run” finale with live music, food, and themed attractions around Civic Park and the Neon Sign Park. Participants will cruise the last 100 miles of Illinois Route 66 before gathering here, with proceeds supporting the Wounded Warrior Project and honoring Jeep’s military roots.
   

• Softball Recap: Edwardsville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss (maxpreps.com) — Granite City gets a brief mention here as one of the teams Edwardsville dominated 16-0 during its recent six-game winning streak, which just ended in the playoffs. Edwardsville fell 9-3 to Lincoln-Way West on Monday, despite a big night at the plate from Brooke Burris, and now both teams have no future games scheduled.
