2 Deputies Injured in Collision on Petite Lake
Both deputies suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Two Lake County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit deputies were injured when their marine unit boat was struck by another boat on Saturday, the Chicago Tribune reported. The deputies were patrolling Petite Lake when their boat was struck by a 21-foot 1989 Wellcraft fiberglass boat just after 11 p.m.
Both deputies suffered non-life threatening injuries. The 39-year-old female operator of the boat was issued a citation.
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police is investigating the accident.
