6 Lake Co. Businesses Cited For Selling Alcohol To A Minor

LAKE COUNTY, IL — Six businesses in Lake County failed recent alcohol compliance checks, authorities said.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office conducted the alcohol compliance checks at 54 businesses that sell alcohol in Lake Count. The compliance checks are meant to make sure businesses not selling alcohol to anyone under the age of 21 years old, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Here is a look at the businesses cited for selling alcohol to a minor:

• CVS, 34344 Route 45, Third Lake
• Mobil Gas, 18540 Grand Avenue, unincorporated Gurnee
• Marathon Gas, 38947 N Green Bay Road, Beach Park
• Citgo Gas, 39039 N Lewis Avenue, Beach Park
• Mobil Gas, 39119 N Lewis Avenue, Beach Park
• 7-Eleven. 20502 Milwaukee Avenue, unincorporated Deerfieldd

Clerks accused of selling alcohol to a minor at the time of the compliance checks received tickets for selling liquor to a minor, according to the news release.
