ROUND LAKE BEACH, IL — Activated chemicals caused a haze at the vacant Regal Cinema building in Round Lake Bach on Monday evening, authorities said.

The Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District was called to the former theater in the 500 block of Rollins Road at about 6:45 p.m. for a report of smoke coming from the second floor, the Daily Herald reports. Fire crews determined activated chemicals were actually causing the haze.
