Woodland Elementary West announces its April ROAR Kids

 

Gages Lake--Woodland Elementary West would like to recognize the following students for becoming ROAR Kids. Students selected as ROAR Kids demonstrated Being Ready during the month of April in a variety of ways throughout the school. The students were formally recognized during a school assembly in May.

ROAR is part of the district-wide behavioral framework, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), theme. ROAR represents Respect, Ownership, Acceptance and being Ready to learn (ROAR). This is the second year Woodland Elementary West has implemented PBIS.

"We are honored to acknowledge our West students who have worked hard displaying our ROAR values. Those students’ positive choices have a positive impact on those students around them and our learning community as a whole. We encourage all of our West students to display their ROAR values as they try their best each day,” said David Brown, Principal of Elementary West School.
