Gages Lake--Woodland Primary School's Kindergarten students will welcome the “Jumpers on Fire” jump rope team at 10:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on January 25 to the school’s gymnasium, 17366 W. Gages Lake Road, Gages Lake.
Jumpers on Fire will make their second appearance in the district after performing in 2010 for students at Woodland Intermediate School.

Jumpers on Fire is a team made up of 2nd – 6th grade students from Rock Cut Elementary School in Loves Park, IL. Rock Cut Elementary School has had a jump rope team for approximately 10 years. They have traveled all over Illinois and have performed at many schools, as well as at state and national PE conventions. Jumpers on Fire is a demonstration only team, they do not compete at any level. Students are invited to be on the team based on their academic soundness, responsibility, and character. Their 30-minute show includes a group routine and flows through individual stunts, partners, small groups, single long ropes, large groups, and finishes with double dutch.
The Jumpers on Fire show will be a kick-off to Woodland Primary School’s inaugural Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser which will help raise money for The American Heart Association to support heart disease and stroke research.
