Authorities Arrest McHenry Man Wanted for Armed Violence in Ingleside Basement

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants team arrested a McHenry man wanted on an armed violence charge Friday.
Bail for Craig S. Phillips, 20, of the 1400 block of North Fairview Lane in McHenry, has been set at $75,000 after the warrants team located him in the basement of a home in Ingleside and took him into custody, Christopher Covelli, spokesman for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, said in a press release Monday. Fox Lake Police Department officers assisted with the arrest.
Authorities learned Phillips was staying at a home in the 26800 block of West Cooney Island Drive in Ingleside and conducted a search of the home on Friday. He was arrested and remained in custody at the Lake County Jail on Monday.
He is wanted on armed violence charge, a class X felony, and is also wanted for questioning by the Fox Lake Police Department.
He is next expected in court on Nov. 30.
