ROUND LAKE PARK, IL — The Avon Township Board will meet Wednesday night to discuss the censure of township supervisor Terry Wilke. The meeting will get underway at 7 p.m. at the township office, 433 E. Washington St., Round Lake Park.

Other topics on the Wednesday night agenda include township supervisor credit cards and the appointment of an independent counsel.

Township trustees Steven Vaughn, Paul Law and Michele Bauman called the special meeting, according to the Daily Herald. Trustees say Wilke has acted without their consent and is secretive and the censure would serve as a formal reprimand.

"This is just a symbolic action but still makes a statement of how the trustees of Avon Township feel about his leadership as supervisor," Bauman said.
