Blaze Damages Garage, Vintage Vehicle In Third Lake: Fire Officials

The Grayslake Fire Protection District was called to the fire in the 0 to 100 block of South Lake Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday.

THIRD LAKE, IL β€” A garage and vintage vehicle was damaged in a blaze that broke out in Third Lake last week, fire officials said.

The Grayslake Fire Protection District was called to the fire in the 0 to 100 block of South Lake Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release. Fire crews found a two-car garage fully engulfed in flames.

The home was located in an area that did not have access to fire hydrants or water so other area fire departments, including Round Lake, Fox Lake and Lake Villa, responded to bring water to the scene of the blaze, according to the news release.

The blaze caused $70,000 in damages to the building and the contents of the garage, which included a vintage vehicle.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
