Residents of Illinois whose children are covered by Medical Card dental insurance can receive free braces from iDentity Orthodontics.

Grayslake, IL – Are you worried your child may need braces, but are concerned with how you will cover the cost of them? If your child is covered by Medical Card dental insurance, braces treatment can be covered at iDentity Orthodontics.
“I believe every child should benefit from a healthy, straight smile,” says Grayslake and Round Lake Beach orthodontist Dr. Michael Stosich. “My office accepts all major dental insurances and works closely with our patients and their families to ensure their benefits are maximized. At your very first consultation, our financial coordinator will discuss your benefits and the other options we have available to help make braces treatment as affordable as possible.”
For children who are covered by Medicaid in Illinois, or another public assisted insurance plan, you may be able to get your child iD braces at no cost to you. First, however, your child will need an orthodontic consultation to determine eligibility.

A free initial consultation with Dr. Stosich at iDentity Orthodontics is all you need. After an examination, X-rays and photos, Dr. Stosich and his staff will help you submit the needed paperwork to the state. Once the report is submitted and approved, which can take about three to four weeks. Once approved, your child is ready to begin treatment.
It is important to note that not all children covered under the state insurance program may qualify for free orthodontic treatment. However, even if your child isn’t eligible for free treatment, you still may be able to get partial coverage for their orthodontic treatment. All children in Illinois under the age of 20 qualify to be considered for assistance in the cost of braces.

Not all orthodontic treatment is eligible for coverage under public aid, either. Typically early interceptive treatment, palatal expansion, and other fixed or removable appliances are not covered. That means your child won’t be able to begin free treatment until all of the baby teeth have fallen out and the permanent teeth have come in. If your child needs early treatment, you will be responsible for covering the cost of it.
“I strongly believe that every child deserves the chance to have a beautiful and properly working smile,” says Dr. Stosich. “Even if your child is denied braces coverage through the Medical Card program, my office will do all we can to work with you. We offer flexible payment plans and even Care Credit, which is a low interest medical loan program. Everyone deserves a healthy smile that can last a lifetime.”
If your child is covered by Medicaid through the state of Illinois, schedule a consultation with Dr. Stosich today to determine if your child is eligible for free braces treatment.
