The coroner's office used dental records to positively identify two of the men killed in the crash and the third was identified through photos comparison, Lake County Coroner chief deputy Steve Newton told Patch in an email response.
On Monday, Newton said his office was still working to confirm the IDs of the men before releasing their names. The identification of the three victims was "hindered by the condition" of their bodies following the car fire, Newton told Patch earlier in the week.
