Along with Frank Lin, M.D., Ph.D., the study’s lead author, Dr. Remensnyder is developing an “Audibility Everywhere” protocol to determine if aggressive hearing loss management can play a role in stalling cognitive decline. In addition to her Beyond Hearing Aids, Sound Advice classes, Dr. Remensnyder’s strategies include the installaion of hearing loops in patients’ media rooms as well as live theatres and places of worship. Hearing loops wirelessly link the listener directly into a sound system thereby eliminating echoing sound, background noise, and distance issues.
