The College of Lake County is offering this free event in recognition of Black History Month.
The story of 19th Century African American Abolitionist Sojourner Truth will be told in 14 scenes presented by New York composer / pianist Dr. Kevin Purrone and narrated by Gwethalyn J. Bronner, executive director for CLC's James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts. Fifteen musical interludes will be performed on piano, flute and percussion.
