Woodland Community Consolidated School District 50 has announced the implementation of a Dual Language program in the fall of 2012.
Dual Language is a type of bilingual education also known as Two Way Immersion. It is a research-based program in which native English speaking students and native Spanish speaking students are in a classroom together learning to read, write, speak and listen in Spanish and English. The goal of the program will to develop bilingual, and bi-literate students.
