An abandoned building formerly used as the Lake County Forest Preserve headquarters caught fire Thursday in Libertyville, according to the Lake County News-Sun.
Firefighters used the 6,000-square-foot building, located at 2000 North Milwaukee Avenue, Thursday morning for training purposes. It is assumed the larger blaze was caused after a fire during the training was not completely extinguished, said Libertyville Fire Chief Rich Coroni in a Lake County News-Sun video.
