Grayslake Based CallSmart Needs Your Vote for the Mission Main Street Grant

Buy American, shop local! We hear this message over and over, but what does it mean to a small business? It means we can create more jobs in the community, support more community causes and help our local area grow.

My name is Heather Cash, and along with my partner, Rebekka Herrington, we operate CallSmart, Inc., a business to business, outsourced inside sales organization. We help other companies achieve their sales goals by prospecting on their behalf and setting qualified appointments for their sales teams. The majority of our clients are local companies, and our mission is to help those local companies grow through the leads we initiate for them. As a company, we care about our clients’ success, and believe we can grow only from the success we create for others.

CallSmart is competing for a Chase Mission Main Street Grant. The grand prize is a $150,000, and would help us take the business to the next level. In order to be consider for the grant, CallSmart needs to receive 250 votes by October 3, 2014.

We have had an incredible year so far. We re-branded the company, created three new jobs, moved to a commercial space in Grayslake, IL from a home office in Lake Villa and we are on track to more than double our 2013 revenue. We operate with integrity, and whenever possible, we utilize products and services from other local small business, often times our own clients.

We have many more goals for the year, including adding at least one more employee to our team. We also want to implement the use of softphones and a CRM specific to our industry. Our goals are always to better serve our clients and to make the workplace a better place for our team. To that end, we offer even part-time employees paid holidays and vacation accrual.
