Grayslake Village Board Trustee to Resign in July
`Amy Edwards is planning to move out of state and will resign from her post on the board.

The village of Grayslake is seeking candidates to fill a trustee spot on the village board.
Grayslake Village Trustee Amy Edwards will be leaving the Grayslake Village Board effective July 31 as she plans to relocate out of state. Edwards began her service on the board in May 2005. Her current term ends in the spring of 2017. She also has been a long-time member of the Village’s Economic Development Commission.
“Amy Edwards has been an outstanding leader for Grayslake. During her almost twelve years on the Board she has provided the Board with valuable insights and sound judgment. She has helped make Grayslake even better," said Mayor Rhett Taylor.
As required by state statute,Mayor Rhett Taylor will recommend a person to the Board to fill the Board vacancy for the remainder of Trustee Edward’s term. Individuals interested in applying to fill the Village Board vacancy should contact the office of Mayor Taylor at 847-223-8515.
