Grayslake Woman Charged With Stealing $200,000 from Elderly Mom
The woman had power of attorney over her mother's finances, police said.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL - A 53-year-old Grayslake woman faces several charges for stealing over $200,000 from her elderly mother over a four-year period.
Jacqueline M. Henry, of 1644 Belle Haven, is charged with two counts of financial exploitation of an elderly person, two counts of money laundering and two counts of theft, according to a Libertyville Police Department report. She was arrested at 7:10 p.m. on Oct. 21 at her home on an in-state warrant.
Police launched an investigation into Henry after her mother, a resident of Spring Meadows, located at 901 Florsheim Drive in Libertyville, learned in January 2015 that her rent was no longer being paid. Henry was given power of attorney over her mother’s finances, according to police.

The investigation by police revealed that over $200,000 was taken from the elderly woman between December 2010 and January 2015.
