Hot Air Balloon Festival Returns for 5th Year in Grayslake

GRAYSLAKE, IL - The 5th Annual Grayslake Color Aloft Balloon Festival will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 4 to 9 p.m. The Color Aloft Festival will be held at Central Park, 250 Library Lane. The fest will begin with hot air balloons being inflated and compete in a "Fox and Hounds" contest in which competing balloons seek to land closest to the Fox, according to a news release on the Visit Lake County website.

Balloons will be retrieved and return to the park and after dark they will be internally illuminated by their burners or glow. There will also be family activities, live music and food vendors.

Admission is free.
